Caixabank and Grupo Joly reward an Andalusian business sector that has managed to perfectly manage the day to day in the midst of the health crisis caused by the coronavirus.
Caixabank and Grupo Joly are once again presenting the Awards for Excellence in Andalusian SMEs. This year, its XI edition is marked by the health crisis caused by the coronavirus. For this reason, the Andalusian companies that have been a clear example of efficiency and good work during the pandemic that has devastated the country have been awarded.
The jury, which met twice online to reach a verdict, was chaired by Guillermo Martín, Director of Corporate Banking at Caixabank in Western Andalusia, and included Pablo Pérez, Director of the Center of Excellence for SMEs at the San Telmo International Institute; Luis Fernández Palacios, Secretary General of the Andalusian Confederation of Entrepreneurs; David Moreno, lawyer, PhD in Law and professor at the San Telmo International Institute; Jorge Segura, business consultant and member of the board of directors of, among other companies, Inmobiliaria del Sur and Ayesa Inversiones; Rocío de Rocío, a member of the board of directors of Ayesa, among others; David Moreno, lawyer, PhD in Law and professor at the San Telmo International Institute; Jorge Segura, business consultant and member of the board of directors, among other companies, of Inmobiliaria del Sur and Ayesa Inversiones; Rocío Mesa, director of Digital Transformation of the Joly Group; and Francisco Ferraro, professor of Economics and member of the Editorial Board of the Joly Group and, in turn, secretary of the same.
After studying and evaluating the candidate companies, the members of the jury selected one SME in each category with the common characteristic of having managed the health crisis generated by Covid-19 to perfection.
The companies that will receive the award today, Thursday, September 24, at 8 p.m. at the Fundación Tres Culturas are: Industrial SME Award, GRAPHENSTONE; Business Services of Excellence Award, HISPATEC; Agri-food Sector Excellence Award, AGROMARTIN; Tourism SME of Excellence Award, MS HOTELS; Health and Biotechnology SME Award, HOSPITAL SAN AGUSTIN.
In addition, special mention should be made of PlusVitech, a biotechnology spin-off of the Andalusian Health System, which is making great advances in its PVT-Covid treatment, consisting of repositioning a drug already approved in humans, which would help prevent deaths caused by lung lesions due to Covid-19.
